Four injured in bus-car collision on Kaligandaki Corridor

NAWALPARASI:- Four people got injured when a car and a bus collided head-on in Khaireni, Baudikali Rural Municipality -3, Nawalpur, along the Kaligandaki Corridor.

A car (Ga 2 Cha 9546) en route from Palpa Rampur towards Dedhgaun and a bus (Lumbini Province 01-001 Kha 0438) heading towards Palpa from Gaindakot collided head-on on the Kaligandaki Corridor road section in Khaireni, Boudikali Rural Municipality-3.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhu Nepal, Information Officer at the District Police Office,  23-year-old car driver Vivek Shah of Bhimad Municipality-6, Tanahun, and onboard passenger in the car, 68-year-old Padamraj Joshi, were killed in the accident while 58-year-old Jung Bahadur Rana and 49-year-old Keshav Ruchal of Byas Municipality-5, Tanahun sustained injuries.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Rampur Hospital, Palpa.

Police have taken the bus and its driver, 37-year-old Sanjay Prasai of Ramba Rural Municipality-1, Palpa, into custody.
