Former CJ Sushila Karki to be appointed PM, oath taking at 9 pm

KATHMANDU:- Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki is being appointed as the Prime Minister and the oath taking ceremony is scheduled for 9 pm this evening, according to Kiran Pokhrel, the press advisor of President Ramchandar Paudel. 

With the agreement to form a new government, preparations are underway at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, to form a government and form a small cabinet under the leadership of Sushila Karki today.

The President’s Office is currently preparing a draft of the appointment letter, the oath-taking ceremony, and the draft decisions to be made by the first Council of Ministers.

Although preparations are underway for a small-sized cabinet, the names of the ministers who will be sworn in today have so far been kept secret.

Discussions between the agitating Gen Z’s, former Chief Justice Sushila Karki, and President Ramchandra and his representatives in the presence of the Army Chief concluded with the dissolution of parliament and the swearing-in of the new government led by Sushila Karki today.
