Foreign Minister Khanal, US Under Secretary of State Allison Hooker hold telephone conversation
KATHMANDU:- Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal held a telephone conversation with Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States of America Allison Hooker on Thursday evening.
During the conversation, the Under Secretary of State conveyed the US Government’s commitment to work closely with Nepal, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry stated that Foreign Minister Khanal and the Under Secretary of State Allison discussed the eight-decade-long relations between Nepal and the United States and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels for mutual benefit.
Likewise, Minister Khanal expressed gratitude on behalf of Nepal to the US Government for the continued cooperation in Nepal’s overall development.
Minister Khanal also shared with the Under Secretary of State the priorities of Nepal for good governance and economic growth through investments in infrastructure, energy, tourism and digital technology.
Under Secretary Allison appreciated Nepal’s priority of national development and affirmed US support in the process, according to the Ministry. (RSS)
