KATHMANDU:- The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has launched a special campaign to reduce frequent power tripping and ensure a stable electricity supply throughout the monsoon season.
With rainfall increasing the risk of electricity disruptions, the Ministry has prioritized maintaining uninterrupted power services across the country. It stated that preventive measures have been intensified to minimize weather-related faults and improve the reliability of the power distribution system.
According to the Secretariat of Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has mobilized technical teams and kept essential equipment on standby 24 hours a day to respond swiftly to any power outages or technical issues.
The Ministry said it is also carrying out regular monitoring and inspections to detect and resolve potential faults caused by heavy rain, strong winds, and other monsoon-related conditions, aiming to ensure consistent electricity service during the rainy season.
Consumers experiencing power supply interruptions or wishing to report outages have been urged to contact the Ministry through its toll-free helpline numbers 1150 and 1151 for immediate assistance.
