Election Commission publishes final voter list: 915 thousand 119 voters added

KATHMANDU:- The Election Commission (EC) has today published the final voter list for the House of Representatives (HoR) election to be held on coming March 5.

The EC stated that there were a total of 17 million 888 thousand 570 voters in the previous House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections, and this time 915 thousand 119 voters have been added.

According to the EC’s Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, as per the published voters’ list, there are a total of 18 million 903 thousand 689 voters including nine million 663 thousand 358 men, nine million 240 thousand 131 women and around 200 others. He said electoral roll has been published in the EC’s website.

The final voters’ list has been published by the Commission today in accordance with Section 20 of the Voter List Act, 2016.

Spokesperson Bhattarai stated that the final voter list has been published by updating the details of citizens who will complete 18 years of age by upcoming March 4, after completing the process according to the procedure specified in the Voter List Updating Procedure, 2081 BS.

Similarly, 23 thousand 112 polling centres have been designated across 10 thousand 967 polling stations throughout the country for the upcoming HoR election. RSS
