Durga Prasai, arrested for cybercrime, remanded in custody for three days
KATHMANDU:- The Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to the police to detain medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai for three days for investigation regarding a cybercrime-related case.
Dilip Kumar Giri, Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau, stated that the court’s authorization to hold Prasai in custody for three days for the investigation has been received.
A team from the bureau arrested Prasai this afternoon from his residence in Bhaktapur for an investigation into cybercrime.
The bureau stated that further investigation is underway regarding the cybercrime allegations against the arrested Prasai.
