Approval to recall Social Media Bill from Federal Parliament  

KATHMANDU:- The interim government has approved withdrawal of the Social Media Bill-2081 BS from the Federal Parliament.     

The cabinet meeting convened here on Tuesday decided to recall the Bill related to Operation, Use and Regulation of Social Media -2081 from the parliament, shared Minister for Home Affairs, Om Prakash Aryal.

The Bill, which was registered during the 17th session of the National Assembly (NA), is currently under consideration in NA’s Committee for Legislation Management.

Minister Aryal, also the Spokesperson of the government, further shared that the meeting also approved an amendment to the Singha Durbar Complex Master Plan to allow the construction of statues of the Gen-Z movement within the premise of the under-construction Parliament Building at Singha Durbar.(RSS)
