Floods and landslides block roads in five places across the country

KATHMANDU:- Various roads in Gorkha, Kavrepalanchok, and Surkhet have been obstructed due to floods and landslides. Additionally, in light of the potential risk of floods and landslides, vehicular movement has been suspended at night on the Kanti Lokpath, which connects Makwanpur and Lalitpur.

Road connectivity between Wards 2 and 3 of Arughat Rural Municipality in Gorkha has been severed after the iron motorable bridge at Soti—which connected the two wards—was swept away by floods in the Budhigandaki River.

The BP Highway has been completely obstructed following landslides at Pinthali (in Ward 9) and Gimdibesi (in Ward 8) of Roshi Rural Municipality, Kavrepalanchok.

Similarly, the Karnali Highway has been completely obstructed following a dry landslide at Aulise, located in Barahatal Rural Municipality-7 of Surkhet.
