Landslides at Krishnabhir and Tingrangkhani; Prithvi Highway obstructed

KATHMANDU:- The Prithvi Highway has been obstructed following landslides at Krishnabhir and Tingrangkhani in Dhading.

The highway is blocked in both directions due to landslides at Krishnabhir in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-7 and Tingrangkhani in Ward No. 10.

According to Kumar Basnet, Ward Chairperson of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-7, a landslide carrying mud and debris continues to occur at Krishnabhir due to persistent rainfall. The road is completely blocked by the landslide, making it impossible for vehicles to operate.

Police report that minor landslides have also occurred at a few other locations along the highway. However, traffic is moving in one direction at those spots, according to Prakash Dahal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for Dhading.
