Nepali Congress regional conventions are being held in most constituencies
KATHMANDU:- Regional-level conventions of the Nepali Congress are taking place today in the majority of electoral constituencies and provincial constituencies as part of the party’s general convention process.
The Congress Central Election Committee stated that although conventions in a few constituencies have been postponed due to heavy rainfall, regional conventions are proceeding today in most constituencies according to the pre-determined schedule.
A press release issued by Raju Katuwal, Member-Secretary of the Central Election Committee, states that the regional conventions for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies have been successfully concluded in Manang, Mustang, and Baitadi as part of the process to complete these conventions by the September 29.
Under the 15th General Convention scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from October 2 to 5, the ward-level conventions have already concluded, while the village and municipal-level conventions are currently underway.
