Foreign Minister Khanal’s interaction with the Nepali diaspora in New York

NEW YORK:- Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal interacted with members of the Nepali diaspora in New York. Speaking at an event held alongside his participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Minister Khanal described the Nepali diaspora as a crucial pillar of Nepal’s development journey and emphasized the need for their further contribution to the country’s development.

At an event organized by the Consulate General of Nepal in New York, some representatives from the diaspora gave presentations on technology, artificial intelligence (AI), disaster management, and the potential contribution of the diaspora to Nepal’s development.

Minister Khanal emphasized the need to link the knowledge, skills, experience, capital, and networks of Nepalis residing in various countries around the world with Nepal’s development. He stated that the government is committed to enhancing their contribution to national development priorities by making collaboration with the diaspora more effective.
