Moderate rain with lightning likely in Gandaki, Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces on Wednesday

KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. According to the Department, the monsoon low-pressure trough is situated near its average position in the east and south of its average position in the west.

At present, the sky is generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, while partly cloudy conditions prevail in the remaining hilly regions. The weather is mainly clear in the Terai regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Moderate rainfall is occurring in a few places across Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two locations within Madhesh Province.

Generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country today. There is a possibility of moderate rain or snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some places within the mountainous regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and in a few places within the mountainous regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, there is a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places within the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places within the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in some places across the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few locations within the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Department has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places across the Himalayan, hilly, and Terai regions of Koshi Province, as well as in the hilly and Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
