Two workers die due to landslide in Kaski

KASKI:- Two workers who sustained severe injuries in a landslide while at work in the access road for the under-construction Super Seti hydropower project in Machhapuchchhre rural municipality-1 Sandal, Kaski, succumbed to their injuries during medical treatment.

The landslide occurred at around 11 am today. The victims have been identified as 26-year-old Ayush Rai, a resident of Pakhribas Municipality-8 in Dhankuta, who was employed on the project, and 27-year-old Kisan Rai from Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality-1 in Khotang.

As reported by the Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Kumar Paswan from the District Police Office Kaski, both individuals passed away while receiving treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital.

The Super Seti Hydropower Project is a 24 MW capacity project under construction in Machhapuchchhre rural municipality of Kaski. RSS
