Host Imperial wins first IWS basketball tournament

KATHMANDU:- Host Imperial World School secured victories in the first IWS Basketball Tournament on Thursday. Imperial achieved a double win, triumphing in both the senior girls’ and junior boys’ categories.

In the senior girls’ match held on their home court in Budhanilkantha, Imperial defeated Meridian International School 21–14.

Sayuna Mainali of Imperial scored 9 points. NIST defeated Kasthamandap School 23–20; Shruju Risal of NIST contributed 9 points.

In the Junior Boys’ category, Imperial defeated Divine 14–12, with Nelix Adhikari scoring 6 points. Premier International easily overcame TIA 23–2, with Arnav Awale scoring 6 points.

In the senior boys’ category, NIST defeated Kathmandu Euro IB World School 31–11. NIST’s Samin Khatri scored 6 points. The senior girls’ match between Euro School (Hattigauda) and Kathmandu Euro was postponed due to rain.
