NRNA sending financial aid worth 50 million rupees to flood victims

LONDON:-Nepalis scattered across the globe have begun sending aid to flood victims through the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

Various individuals and organizations have so far pledged contributions to the NPR 50 million relief fund established by the NRNA for the relief and rehabilitation of those affected by the floods in the Bhote Koshi River. According to Association President Dr. Hemraj Sharma, national chapters are raising funds at their respective levels.

National committees of the NRNA across various countries have launched fundraising campaigns. Once the collection process is complete, plans are in place to deposit the funds into the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund through the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

NRNA UK and NRNA Australia alone have each pledged a contribution of 10 million rupees. Similarly, former office-bearers of the association and Nepalis residing in various countries have also committed to making significant contributions to the relief fund.
