Red Bull National Indoor T-10 Cricket Tournament from Friday
KATHMANDU:- Red Bull National Indoor T-10 Cricket Tournament is set to begin on Friday. Organizers announced at a press conference on Tuesday that 24 men’s teams will participate in the tournament.
The participating teams will be divided into eight groups and will compete in a league-cum-knockout format. The winner of each group will advance directly to the quarter-finals.
Organized with the support of Angels’ Heart National School and Angels’ Heart Sports Academy and Recreation Center (located in Manmaiju), the tournament offers a cash prize of Rs 100,000 to the winner and Rs 50,000 to the runner-up. The total prize purse is Rs 200,000.
The trophy was also unveiled during the press conference. It was unveiled by Khim Thapa, President of Angels Heart Sports Academy and Recreation Center; Tak Bahadur Thapa, Principal of Angels Heart National School; and Kenish Shrestha, President of ‘Powered by Lekali Java’.
The matches of the three-day tournament will be held at the Royal Sports Park in Chunikhel. According to the organizers, the cost of conducting the tournament will be approximately 1.4 million rupees.
