UML must restructure its policies, ideology, and working style: Vice-Chair Gurung

LAMJUNG:- CPN (UML) Central Vice Prithvi Subba Gurung has stated that the time has come to restructure the party’s policies, ideology, working style, and organization in line with the changing political landscape. 

Addressing the 13th meeting of the CPN (UML) Lamjung District Committee held on Sunday, Gurung stated that restructuring—encompassing policies, ideology, working styles, and the organization itself—is essential to make the party further robust and effective. He emphasized the need to connect the party organization with the public and to make cadres more active and responsible.

UML Central Committee Secretary Khagaraj Adhikari has stated that the party must be built in accordance with the people’s wishes. He emphasized that there is no alternative but to acknowledge the party’s past errors and shortcomings, learn from them, and move forward. He stressed that leaders and cadres at all levels must act responsibly to review past weaknesses and transform the party into a people-oriented, robust, and effective organization.

At the program, UML Central Member and District In-charge Jamindraman Ghale and Gandaki Province Committee Secretary Dhananjay Dawadi also emphasized the need to make the party organization further robust, well-organized, and people-oriented. They stated that the organization must be revitalized by effectively taking the party’s policies and programs to the grassroots level.

District Committee Secretary Rajendra Bohora stated that District Committee Chairman Rajkumar Bista presented a report on the programs and activities carried out during the last fiscal year and outlined the plans and programs to be implemented in the current fiscal year. According to Bohora, the meeting covered topics such as strengthening the party organization, mobilizing cadres, and plans to effectively advance upcoming programs.

Deputy Secretary Bibas Budhathoki informed that office bearers and members of the District Committee participated in a meeting held at the Madan-Ashrit Memorial Building, which also included an orientation session on the ‘Mission Party Awakening Campaign–2083’.
