Acclaimed Women cricketer Sabitri Dhami honored by Amravati Boutique
Dhami played a pivotal role in helping Nepal qualify for the ACC Women's U-19 Asia Cup by delivering outstanding batting performances throughout the tournament. Her contribution of 41 runs in the quarter-final against Japan helped Nepal secure a victory and book their spot in the ACC Women's U-19 Asia Cup. Nepal finished third in the tournament after achieving an impressive nine-wicket victory over Indonesia.
KATHMANDU:- Amravati Boutique Hotel has honored Sabitri Dhami with a cash prize in recognition of her historic performance at the ACC Women’s U-19 Premier Cup 2026. During a felicitation ceremony held today, the hotel presented her with a cash award of NPR 50,000.
Dhami delivered an outstanding performance at the ACC Women’s U-19 Premier Cup 2026, emerging as the tournament’s highest run-scorer. By amassing 256 runs throughout the competition, she set a new record in the history of Nepali women’s U-19 cricket.
She made history by scoring three consecutive half-centuries in the tournament, becoming the first player in the history of Nepali women’s cricket to achieve this feat. Her highest individual score in the tournament was an unbeaten 78 runs, achieved against the Singapore U-19 women’s team.
Sabitri Dhami expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Amravati Boutique Hotel family for honoring her in recognition of her hard work and performance. She stated that this honor has inspired her to work even harder in the days ahead and further elevate Nepal’s stature in international cricket.
