One dead, seven injured in Rupandehi bus accident

RUPANDEHI:- A person died while seven others got injured in a bus accident today at Saraswati Tol in Omsatiya Rural Municipality-2 along the Siddartha Highway.

The passenger bus, Lu 1 Kha 8990, was heading to Butwal from Bhairahawa when it overturned at the road, killing its assistant driver Sandip Baral, 30, of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-3.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital while two of the seriously injured are sent to City hospital in Bhairahawa and Krimson hospital in Manigram for further treatment, according to the police.

The driver of the bus has been taken under control for investigation.
