Niruta and Uttam screen share after 22 years

KATHMANDU:- Actor Uttam Pradhan and actress Niruta Singh are considered one of the most successful artist in Nepali cinema industry. Their collaboration, which began with the classic film ‘Darpan Chhayaan’, continued till ‘Uphaar’ which was released in 2003. In between, they appeared together in more than half a dozen films like ‘Malai Maaf Garideu’, ‘Lahana’, ‘Yo Kasto Prem’.

However, after ‘Uphaar’, Uttam and Niruta did not collaborate in any film. Now, after 22 years, the audience will be able to see this pair on screen. They have worked together in the film ‘Sarathi’. After shooting the film for a month in Gurja Khani, Myagdi district, they returned to Kathmandu this week. Now, only one day of shooting of the film is left in Kathmandu.

Directed by Kumar Gajurel, the film will feature Uttam and Niruta, along with Mukunda Shrestha, Rajendra KC, Giri Bishwakarma, Gayatri Joshi, Madan Thapa, Samrant Thapa, Milan Khadka, Rashmi Gurung, Kalpana Thapa, Asha Bishwakarma, Santosh Dahal, Biplav Khadka, Sagar Kandel, Dhiren Moktan, and other actors.

Presented by Kimbhe Productions and Dheeraj Infinity Films, the film is produced by Tara Thapa ‘Kimbhe’ and Sauryal Thapa. Dheeraj Tamang and Beck Bahadur Bishwakarma are co-producers and Pradeep Rayamajhi and Radip Shrestha are executive producers. The film’s line producer is journalist Amir KC. The film has cinematography by Sankalp Bhujel.
