Four injured in Doti road mishap

DOTI:- Four people sustained injuries after an electric Hiace van (EV Hiace) met with an accident in Doti on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred at Chisapani in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality–5, police said.

According to police, the EV (Sudur Paschim Province 02-001 Ja 0239), which was heading from Dhangadhi to Achham, met with the accident at around 4:30 AM.

District Police Office, Doti, said that the injured include Anita Saud, aged 51, and Prakash Saud, aged 26, both residents of Nuwaghar, Purbichauki Rural Municipality-5.

Similarly, Kamala Saud, aged 25, of Dunai, Chaurpati Rural Municipality-6, Achham, and 19-year-old Kamala Thapa of Bayali, Chaurpati-1, were also injured in the accident.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at Shaileshwari Hospital in Dipayal.

According to the hospital, their conditions are out of danger.

The vehicle, driven by 45-year-old Shankar Shah of Siudi, Chaurpati Rural Municipality–1, Achham, was carrying 15 passengers at the time of the accident.

Police said the accident occurred after the Hiace went out of control and overturned into a roadside drain.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
