President Paudel Arrives in Japan on Official Visit

KATHMANDU:- President Ramchandra Paudel arrived in Japan early this morning for an official visit, following his departure from Kathmandu last night. He was warmly welcomed at Narita International Airport by the Chief of Protocol of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Toru Maeda, and Nepal’s Chargé d’affaires in Japan, Harihar Kant Poudel.

The Nepali Head of State is leading a delegation at the invitation of the Japanese government to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan. During his visit, President Paudel will participate in an anniversary function organized by the Japanese government, according to his Press Advisor, Kiran Pokharel.

The President is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Emperor Naruhito at the Tokyo Imperial Palace. In addition, he will attend a meeting with members of the Japanese business community and a reception hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in Japan.

President Paudel is accompanied by his spouse, Sabita Paudel, senior government officials, and staff from the President’s office. He is expected to return to Nepal on February 4.
