Former Army Lt. Gen. Bala Nanda Sharma appointed Nepal’s Foreign Affairs Minister

KATHMANDU:- President Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed former Nepali Army Lieutenant General Bala Nanda Sharma as the Minister for Foreign Affairs on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

His swearing-in ceremony at the Office of the President, in Sheetal Niwas, is scheduled to be held this afternoon.

Sharma previously served as the coordinator of the Prime Minister-led Special Committee on Army Integration after the Maoists joined the peace process.
