Team led by CDO inspects Kimathanka border point

SANKHUWASABHA:- A team led by Chief District Officer of Sankhuwasabha, Srijana Thapaliya, inspected the Kimathanka border point. The team also took stock of the land belonging to the Kimathanka Customs Office. 

The team comprised Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kumar Prasad Mainali, and representatives from various offices in the district.

They inspected the border pillars on Nepal-China border and the border outposts. The border outpost is catering service irrespective of the hostile geography and limited resources. A smooth cooperation is made with the locals and the Armed Police Force for it.

An informal discussion was held with the Chinese counterparts on border security, control of cross-border crime, movement of local people and information exchange on disaster management and cooperation.

CDO Thapaliya informed that now onwards the district authority would take initiative to hold discussion with the Chinese side on the issues of shared concern in Kimathanka area.

It is said Thapaliya is the first CDO to visit Kimathanka.

The team addressed various concerns facing citizens during the visit.

Even a brief interaction was held with the locals at Hatiya of remote Bhotkhola rural municipality in the district. They acquired information on the voting centre of Bhotkhola as well. (RSS)
