Madhes Province Chief Minister Sonal resigns
JANAKPUR:- Chief of Madhes Province Sumitra Subedi Bhandari has accepted the resignation submitted by the Province Chief Minister Jitendra Prasad Sonar ‘Sonal’ today.
The Province Chief has today on the 22nd Kartik 2082 approved the resignation submitted by Sonal from the position of Chief Minister, in accordance with Article 169, Clause (1), Sub-clause (A) of the Constitution of Nepal, the Office of the Province Chief stated in a press release.
A statement issued by Secretary Shatrudhan Yadav on behalf of the Office of the Provincial Chief mentioned that in accordance with sub-section (3) of Article 169 of the Constitution of Nepal, the current Council of Ministers has been assigned to carry out the duties of the provincial council of ministers until further arrangement is made.
