‘World Meditation Day’ celebrated in Portugal

LISBON:-  World Meditation Day has also been celebrated in the European country of Portugal with the main slogan ‘Meditation for World Peace and Harmony’.

The Nepali Embassy in Lisbon celebrated World Meditation Day by organizing a meditation camp on Sunday. At the meditation camp, life science instructors Lovely Prasad Sharma and Vijendra Lama provided participants with hands-on meditation practices and training on stress management, mental health, and various aspects of meditation.

Speaking on the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to Portugal Prakash Mani Poudel said that meditation is very useful for physical and mental health.  He said that meditation plays an important role in stress management, positive energy, and a successful life. The meditation camp was attended by the Nepali community, including embassy staff.

The Embassy’s First Secretary, Ram Babu Nepal, informed that the World Meditation Day was celebrated by organizing a meditation camp as directed by the government to the mission. He said that the embassy plans to continue the meditation camp in coordination with Nepali organizations in Portugal, as meditation provides physical, mental, and social benefits.
