We are in favor of some reform in the form of governance: RSP President Lamichhane 

KATHMANDU:- President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane has directed HoR members from his party to be cautious while making expressions in the public.

Addressing the orientation programme to the newly elected members of the House of Representatives (HoR) of the RSP, president Lamichhane reminded the lawmakers that they were no longer only a professional or an activist but also a lawmaker and they needed to maintain the honor of the position.

“It is better to seek counsel of party leaders before making public expressions,” he said.

President Lamichhane has said that they are committed to the Nepal’s constitution.

He made this statement while concluding the orientation program for the party’s lawmakers on Wednesday.

President Lamichhane made it clear that they are in favor of some reform in the form of governance. Stating that the current system, change and commitment to the constitution have not wavered, he urged the lawmakers not to be distracted.

President Lamichhane asked lawmakers to seek treatment from government hospitals so that we feel where the improvement is urgent.

He said that lawmakers’ expressions have implications for foreign affairs and economy as well. Therefore, they needed to be serious.

Instead of attending big seminars when there is no parliament, please visit your constituency, villages and streets to listen to people’s problems and take initiative to solve them,” he said.

On the occasion, president Lamichhane reiterated his party’s commitment to the constitution and directed the lawmakers to have a respectful views on leaders of the old parties for their contributions.
