UML’s statute convention to be held on September 5-7

KATHMANDU:- The second statute convention of the main ruling CPN (UML) is to be held on September 5 to 7 at Godavari in Lalitpur.  

2,341 delegates that include 2026 delegates and 315 delegates from organizing committee.

Rajendra Gautam, chief of UML’s publicity department, shared at a press meet on Wednesday that all preparations for the convention have been complete. ‘Our determination is to build a decisive force, our destination is prosperous Nepal and happy Nepali’ is the slogan of the convention.

The proposal for amending the party statute seeks to remove 70-year age bar, make the district committee executive, and make 251-member central committee and the politburo a third of that while the standing committee of the party will have 15 members with a woman as mandatory.
