UML’s Politburo meeting to continue Saturday

KATHMANDU:- The Politburo meeting of the CPN (UML) has been postponed to Saturday. The meeting will be held at 11 am on Saturday.

Eight members participated in a discussion on the report to be presented at the general convention in a meeting held at the UML central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, chaired by party chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The secretariat meeting held on Thursday in preparation for the UML’s statutory general convention had passed the proposal for party Chairman Oli’s political report, Vice Chairman Bishnu Prasad Poudele’s statutory amendment report, and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel’s organizational report.

After the Politburo meeting approves the reports, the Central Committee meeting to be held on Monday, August 5, will finalize them. The second statutory general convention of the UML will be held in Godavari, Lalitpur on August 20, 21 and 22.
