UAE defeats Nepal in ACC Men’s U19 Premier Cup

KATHMANDU:- Nepal was defeated by UAE in the final match of ACC Men’s U-19 Premier Cup Cricket organised in the UAE.

UAE won the title of the championship defeating Nepal by 27 runs. Chasing the 148-run victory target posted by UAE, Nepal was limited to 120 runs in 33.2 overs. For Nepal, Captain Ashok Dhami gathered the highest 34 runs while Ashish Luhar and Roshan Bishwokarma contributed 25 runs each.

Yug Jai Sharma and Ali Asgar Shums of UAE took three wickets each. Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at Karwan Cricket Ground, Ajman, the host UAE made 147 runs in 45.5 overs at the loss of all wickets.

Ahmed Khudadad scored the highest 71 runs. Dayanand Mandal of Nepal took six wickets while Aparajit Poudel took two wickets, Captain Ashok Dhami and Nites Kumar Patel one wicket each.

Meanwhile, Nepal and UAE have already been qualified to play U-19 Asia cup scheduled for December in UAE. RSS
