Strong winds in five provinces; snowfall and moderate rain in hilly region

KATHMANDU:- At present there is influence of the westerly low pressure system and local winds in Nepal. 

Generally cloudy conditions prevail in the Himalayan regions of the country including Bagmati, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the remaining areas are partly cloudy, the Weather Forecasting Division shared.

This afternoon, generally cloudy conditions are expected in the Himalayan regions and the hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy.

The Division indicated a possibility of moderate rain/snow with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and light rain/snow with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the remaining Himalayan and hilly areas including the Terai of Sudurpashchim province.

The Division has also predicted strong winds at several places in the Terai regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, generally cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly and Himalayan regions of the country, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of moderate rain/snow with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as in the remaining Himalayan areas of other provinces. (RSS)
