Santosh Shrestha unanimously elected NRNA Spain president

BARCELONA:- Santosh Shrestha has been unanimously elected as the president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Spain.

Shrestha was unanimously elected as the president at the ninth convention of the association held in Barcelona this week.

The newly elected president is the advisor of the Shrestha Sangh and the vice-chairman of the Public Relations Committee, (NPRCC) of Spain.

Shrestha, who hails from Adhikhola, Syangja, and received his higher education in the Netherlands, played an important role in various supportive activities such as training, conducting language classes, distributing language books, and sports programs for new Nepalese community in Spain.

The convention was held under the chief guestship of His Excellency Sanil Nepal, Nepali Ambassador to Spain.

Roshan Pathak has been elected as a member of the International Coordination Council (ICC), Surendra Bhujel Thapa as senior vice-chair, Jamuna Devi Sharma and Deepak Basnet as vice-chairs, and Malati Pantha as women’s vice-chair in the newly formed working committee.

Devraj Sapkot has been elected as the regional vice-president, Navin Ghimire as the general secretary, Shubhas Bahadur Bista as the deputy general secretary, and Ganesh Raj Adhikari and Prabin Lohar as the secretaries.

Similarly, Dil Kumari Tamang and Nawaraj Duwadi have been selected as secretaries, Narayan Prasad Subedi as treasurer, Suman Khadka as co-treasurer, Laxmi Ghimire Sharma as women coordinator, Deepika Shrestha as youth coordinator, and Pralhad Karki as youth deputy coordinator.

Mohan Raj Gautam, Chandrakant Pokharel, Bhimsen Karki, Bishnu Bahadur Sarki and Sambhar Bahadur Giri have been selected as board of director.
