SAFF Women’s Championship: Nepal to face Bhutan today

KASKI:- Two matches are scheduled for today in the ongoing South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-19 Women’s Championship, which is taking place at the Pokhara Stadium.

The first match is taking place between Bangladesh and India at 12:00 noon.

Likewise, host Nepal will take on Bhutan in the second match of the day, scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm.

Earlier, both Nepal and Bhutan lost their first match against India and Bangladesh, respectively. Nepal was defeated by India 1–0 in the first match.

Likewise, Bangladesh and India have gathered equal three points with a victory of one each.

Four teams are participating in the tournament. The competition is coordinated by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) and the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

The Championship will be conducted in a ’round robin league’ format, where each team will play one match against every other team. After the league phase of the competition, the top two teams will compete for the title in the final match on February 7.  (RSS)
