President confers insignia of Honorary General of Nepali Army on Indian Army Chief

KATHMANDU:- President Ramchandra Paudel has presented Dhiraj Seth, the Chief of the Army Staff, Indian Army, with the insignia of the Honorary General of the Nepali Army.

President Paudel presented the insignia of Honorary General of the Nepali Army to Chief of Army Staff Seth at a special ceremony held at the President’s House, Shital Niwas today.

Seth was given the honor in keeping with the tradition between Nepal and India since 1950 of conferring honorary general insignia to each other’s army chiefs. Indian Army Chief Seth arrived in Nepal on Sunday for a three-day visit.

Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, senior officials from the Government of Nepal and the Nepali Army, as well as the Indian Ambassador to Nepal was present at the special investiture ceremony. RSS
