Possibility of moderate rain in hills and Terai on Monday

KATHMANDU:- The country is currently under the direct influence of monsoon winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon low-pressure trough is situated near its average position.

Currently, the weather is generally cloudy across the mountainous and hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as throughout Lumbini Province. Meanwhile, the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing partly cloudy conditions. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Generally cloudy conditions are expected across the country on Monday. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in some places within the country’s mountainous regions.

Similarly, light to moderate rain is likely in many places across the hilly and Terai regions. Heavy rain is also possible in one or two locations within the hilly and Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as the hilly areas of Karnali Province and the mountainous and hilly regions of Sudurpaschim Province.
