Possibility of light rain in the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces
KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that westerly winds are influencing the entire territories of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as the western parts of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Meanwhile, there is a partial influence of monsoon winds across the entirety of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, as well as in the remaining areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Under its influence, the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are generally cloudy, while the remaining areas are partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places in Gandaki Province and at one or two locations in Koshi Province.
This afternoon, the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will be generally cloudy. The mountainous and hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will experience partial cloudiness. The Terai regions of the country will also see partial cloudiness.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in a few places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain is possible in one or two places across the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, the weather will be generally cloudy across the country’s hilly and Terai regions, as well as the mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, while the remaining areas will see partial cloud cover. Fog is also expected in the Terai regions during the morning hours.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in a few places across the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces; light rain in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces; and light rain in the Terai region of Sudurpaschim Province and one or two places in Madhesh Province.
