Petroleum product imports worth Rs 181 billion

BIRGUNJ:- Six types of petroleum products worth Rs 181.7 billion have been imported through the Birgunj border in the 10 months of the current fiscal year.

Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, the value basis of imports through this border has increased by Rs 25.53 billion, or 16.35 percent. Whereas, in the 10 months of the previous fiscal year, six types of petroleum products worth Rs 156.17 billion were imported.

Birgunj Customs Office Information Officer Uday Singh Bista said that a revenue of Rs 67.19 billion has been collected from the import of petroleum products in the 10 months of the current fiscal year. In the 10 months of the current fiscal year, 895,246 kiloliters of diesel worth Rs 100.57 billion have been imported. While in the 10 months of the last fiscal year, 9857 kiloliters of diesel worth Rs 790.57 billion were imported.

390,615 kiloliters of petrol worth Rs 35.79 billion have been imported. In the 10 months of the last fiscal year, 367,344 kiloliters of petrol worth Rs 31.71 billion were imported.

In the 10 months of the current fiscal year, 242.7 million three thousand 150 kilograms of LPG gas worth Rs 25.54 billion have been imported. While in the 10 months of the last fiscal year, 264.1 million 14 thousand 326 kilograms of LPG gas worth Rs 30.28 billion have been imported.
