Party needs transformation: Senior Leader Shrestha

KANCHANPUR:- Senior Vice Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has said his party was in dire need of transformation.

“Transformation revitalises the revolutionary party,” he said while addressing a press conference organised by the Press Centre in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, on Monday. The Maoist Centre needs to move ahead with a leading role to ensure social justice and prosperity.

Only the transformed party can lead the campaign for such a cause, Shrestha reiterated. He also argued that the transformation further paves the way for leftist unity. In his view, the country cannot remain in the status quo for long. Therefore, a positive intervention is imperative, as Shrestha stated, which would foil anarchy and regression.

According to him, his party had floated a proposal of leftist unity and urged other parties to form talk teams in this regard.
