NPL to be held in November

KATHMANDU:- The second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament is being held from coming November 17 to December 13.     

A total of eight teams including Biratnagar Kings, Janakpur Bolts, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Gurkhas, Pokhara Avengers, Lumbini Lions, Sudurpaschim Royals and Karnali Yaks are competing in the T20 tournament organised by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The mini auction of players for the tournament has already been completed.

The first edition of the NPL was held around the same period last year. The title of the first edition of the NPL was won by Janakpur Bolts.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the second edition of the NPL, the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur is being upgraded. A parapet as well as flood lights are being installed in the stadium.
