Nepali Congress deplores attack on Deuba couple
KATHMANDU:- The Nepali Congress (NC) has deplored the inhumane and barbaric attacks happened on party president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his spouse and NC central committee member Dr Arzu Rana Deuba.
Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the NC has condemned the attacks on president Deuba, who dedicated his entire life for the cause of democracy, and central committee member Dr Rana.
The party has wished for the speedy recovery of president Deuba and his spouse Dr Rana. The Deuba couple was attacked on September 9 by a mob of protestors during the Gen-Z protests.
In the press statement, NC Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka has stated that the martyrdom of several youths and loss of billions of physical properties in the country was a matter of serious concern.
Khadka has expressed tributes to those youths, security personnel and others who died in the protests and condolences to the family members of the deceased persons. The NC has also renewed its demand for the investigation of the entire incident.
