Nepal urges Saudi Arabia to suspend skill verification process for migrant workers

KATHMANDU:-Nepal has urged Saudi Arabia to suspend the skill verification process for Nepali workers. Minister for Youth, Labor and Employment Ramji Yadav has urged Saudi Arabia to immediately suspend the Skill Verification Process (SVP) for Nepali workers.

During a courtesy call with Fahad Mohammed A. Al-Maniker, the Saudi Ambassador to Nepal, a request was made to immediately suspend the skills verification process for Nepali workers.

Minister Yadav’s secretariat stated that Ambassador Al-Maniker was also asked to ensure that the visa process for Nepali workers is not disrupted by the skills verification procedure.

Drawing attention to the situation where Nepali workers preparing to go to Saudi Arabia are facing problems due to confusion regarding the skill certification process, Minister Yadav urged to ensure an environment that does not hinder the employment of workers, according to the secretariat.
