Mutual dialogue to address border issues: General Secretary Pokharel

MAHOTTARI:- General Secretary of the CPN UML, Shankar Pokharel, has said both neighbours, India and China, ignored the sensitivity of Nepal’s concern while making agreement to open the India-China route via Limpiyadhura border point for trade.

At a press conference organized by Press Chautari in Bardibas on Thursday, General Secretary Pokharel asserted, “Nepal has prepared its map based on facts and truth that the land towards Nepal from the Mahakali River belongs to Nepali territory. It is as per the Sugauli Treaty, 1816.”

Pokharel further said Nepal wants to address the problem through mutual dialogue and discussion.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visits to India and China would be held as per preparation, he asserted.(RSS)
