KATHMANDU:- CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to dissolve the existing Central Committee and turn it into the organizing committee of the general convention keeping Chairman Prachanda as the coordinator of the committee.
The meeting of the office bearers of the Maoist Center held today at its central office in Paris Danda took a decision to this effect.
The proposal to change the CC committee into general convention organizing committee was put forth by the party Chair Prachanda.
Agni Prasad Sapkota, Vice Chair and spokesperson of the Maoist Center, informed that the party Chair Prachanda also put forth his views on current political situation in the country.
The meeting also dwelt on methods and processes for leadership transfer.
The decision of the office bearers will be discussed in the meeting of the standing committee and then it will be presented in the meeting of the Central Committee. The standing committee meeting is called for 24 and that of central committee for 25 of this month.
