KMC fulfilled its responsibility to douse fire during Gen Z protest: Mayor Shah

KATHMANDU:- Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Sah (Balen) has made it clear that the metropolis fulfilled its responsibility during the Gen Z movement on September 9 when many buildings, public and private, were set ablaze.

Responding to queries raised in the social media, the KMC Mayor made it clear that the fire engines of the KMC were mobilized to douse the fire in Singha Durbar at about 8:15 pm when the crowd subsided. At day time, the crowd had prevented even the Nepali Army fire engine inside Singha Durbar from putting off the fire there, stated Mayor Balen in his Facebook account.

Mayor Balen has provided details about where the KMC fire engines, five in total number, were busy in dousing fire from 8 September through 12 September.
