German national, tour guide missing in Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking Route

MYAGDI:- A German tourist and his tour guide went missing in the Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking Route.

The trekking route is a popular destination for tourists in the Myagdi and Mustang districts.

The two went missing during their trek from the base camp of Mt Dhaulagiri in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4 of Myagdi to Dhampus Peak in Thasang Rural Municipality-1 of Mustang.

It is said that the German tourist and his tour guide have been out of contact since Friday night.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police of Mustang, Chiring Kippa Lama, said that a search for missing German national Damino Del Phaplo, 32, and guide Nepal’s Mima Sherpa has been initiated.

DSP Lama said that the two were not found, though a helicopter from Seven Summit Trekking Company was mobilized on Saturday in search of the missing persons.
