Gandaki province endorses bill on marijuana farming

KASKI:- Gandaki provincial assembly has endorsed bill related to management and regulation of marijuana farming for medicinal and industrial purposes.

Krishna Prasad Dhital, speaker of the Gandaki provincial assembly, declared Thursday that the bill was passed with unanimity in the 21st meeting of the 10th session of the provincial assembly.

With the law, farming of marijuana for medicinal and industrial goods production has been opened in Gandaki.

There are, however, strict provisions in the bill, including the one that marijuana farming can be done only in area designated by the provincial government, only after obtaining the permission and under strict supervision.
