DHS releases names of 51 illegal immigrants in Louisiana lockups

LOS ANGELES:- On Friday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the names of 51 illegal immigrants accused of various crimes in Louisiana lockups.

They are being held at the Louisiana State Penitentiary or Angola Prison. This partnership with the state of Louisiana allows ICE to expand its detention space to 416 beds.

Among the illegal immigrants accused of various crimes in Louisiana lockups, 26 have been convicted of murder and 8 have been convicted of rape.

Similarly, there are 8 illegal immigrants convicted of sexual exploitation and 9 illegal immigrants convicted of sexual abuse of minors.

A DHS spokesperson released the names of illegal immigrants accused of various crimes, saying, “Murderers, child sex offenders, rapists and child predators. These are criminal illegal immigrants who have been arrested by ICE and placed in Louisiana lockups.”
