‘China-India pact on Lipulek a blow on Nepal’s sovereignty’

KATHMANDU:- The understanding that India and China reached recently to resume trade through Lipulek is a grave blow on Nepal’s sovereignty, viewed the Socialist Front, Nepal, issuing a press release today.

“The understanding India and China has reached on Lipulek has inflicted a serious blow on Nepal’s sovereign rights, said the Front, stating, “Historical evidences stand as proof that Lipulek, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani are integral parts of Nepal.”

In the statement undersigned by CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepal Communist Party (Revolutionary) general secretary Netra Bikram Chanda (Biplov C) and  and Nepal Socialist Party Chairman Mahendra Raya Yadav, the Front has expressed disagreement and objected in the strongest terms to the India-China understanding on Lipulekh.
