Vehicular movement resumes in BP Highway

KATHMANDU:- Vehicular movement has resumed in the BP highway today.

The highway that connects Kathmandu with different districts of Bagmati, Madhes and Koshi province was obstructed due to landslides and sweeping road by the flooded rivers during recent incessant rainfall a week ago.

The highway was damaged in 13 different places while some four kilometers of the road swept away, which has been rebuilt for temporary use.

Shubhraj Neupane, chief of federal road supervision and monitoring office, informed that the highway will, however, operate for two-way traffic in all places from Sunday as only way road has been made so far in some places.
