267,000 people leave Kathmandu Valley on the eve of Dashain festival

KATHMANDU:- More than 267,000 people have left Kathmandu Valley till Saturday, from September 22.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, a total of 267,441 people have left the Kathmandu Valley for their villages to celebrate the Dashain festival. A total of 40,923 people were headed towards their hometown from the Kathmandu Valley on September 22, and 39,814 people on September 23.

Likewise, 57,559 people left here for their hometowns on September 24 and 56,906 people on September 25. Similarly, more than 72,239 people left the Kathmandu Valley on September 26 and 27, added Spokesperson at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Naresh Subedi.

He mentioned that the number of people going out from the Kathmandu Valley is on the rise, stating that 45,493 vehicles have left the Kathmandu Valley till today, from September 22 via Thankot, Sanga, Dakshinkali, and Balaju check points.
